Volleyball Season

Every year, there’s a big volleyball tournament in Ottawa. It’s a charity event to raise money for charity. The place I volunteer, a soup kitchen/shelter, has been chosen to be a recipient of funds this year. They have a chance to receive $50,000. They need 50 volunteers to receive 100% of their funding. For any volunteers that don’t show up on Saturday, they lose 2% of their funds. Per volunteer.

Anyway, the Volleyball tournament is called H.O.P.E Volleyball. Helping Other People Everywhere.

It’s a great event, and it draws a huge crowd. It doubles as a summer festival with concerts and stuff like that.

Here’s a video from H.O.P.E Volleyball from a previous year.

I’m going to be a scorekeeper this year.

Events like this are prime for proximity marketing.
